WOKINGHAM LITERARY SOCIETY
Since the March 2020 lockdown we have used Zoom to meet and keep in touch. We plan to return fully to ‘normal’ activity by the end of the year — see programme — and would welcome non-members to join us for individual meetings or become members.
We plan to restart live meetings in October, according to government guidelines and rules for the venue. Our guest speaker Ruth Nobbs will examine how J.B. Priestley became a public figure, as a novelist, playwright, broadcaster and campaigner.
Our Poetry Plus group, which meets to discuss a particular poet or poem, will look at some poems of John Donne.
